Italian Restaurant Week
The IACC’s third annual Italian Restaurant Week, New York City’s first and only week-long celebration of authentic Italian cuisine, took place from June 1-8 2019. Thirty-nine participating restaurants featured pre-fixe lunch, dinner and gourmet tasting menus, allowing New York City restaurant goers to enjoy upscale, authentic Italian fare at special, promotional pricing.
The IACC’s Italian Restaurant Week initiative and its participating restaurants benefitted from the promotional and logistical support of event partner OpenTable, the world’s leading provider of online restaurant reservations, and was generously supported by Presenting Sponsor La Vecchia Cantina di Montepulciano and Founding Sponsor Sassaia Winery.
Italian Restaurant Week is part of the “True Italian Taste” project, funded by the Italian Ministry for Economic Development and executed by Assocamerestero in collaboration with the Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad, in order to raise awareness of and safeguard authentic Italian food products. “True Italian Taste” is part of the “Extraordinary Italian Taste” initiative.
