From March 10-12, a delegation comprised of some of Italy's top food and beverage brands traveled to Las Vegas to exhibit with the IACC at the annual NGA Show, organized by the National Grocers Association. IACC members Bindi, Consorzio del Parmigiano Reggiano, Coop Italian Food North America, Garofalo, Monini, Pomì and Resi exhibited at the show, which is the lagest industry gathering of grocery retailers and wholesalers in the U.S.
While there, the IACC delegation, “Italian Flavors: A Culinary Collective,” delighted visitors by serving a sampling of top-tier Italian specialty foods from a custom-designed food truck and hosted “Eat, Live, Buy Italian,” a multi-course tasting dinner and brand showcase for industry executives at the Venetian’s Canaletto Restaurant. Thanks to the National Grocers Association for a great show and to Bindi, Consorzio del Parmigiano Reggiano, Coop Italian Food North America, Garofalo, Monini, Pomì and Resi for helping us showcase the best of Italy in Las Vegas!

Members joined us on October 2nd for this fascinating workshop co-organized with the Small Business Administration (SBA). Participants delved into the emerging field of neuromarketing, the study of the brain to predict and potentially even manipulate consumer behavior and decision making.
SBA Economic Development Specialist Man-Li Lin helped participants gain a greater understanding of how neuromarketing efforts can help inform creative advertising, product development, pricing, and other marketing areas.

U.S.-based grocery retail buyers and Italian food and beverage producers were invited to join the IACC in Peschiera del Garda, Italy, from October 6-11 for the third edition of “America Buys Italian,” a top-tier B2B summit connecting local Italian food and beverage producers with leading buyers and purchasing managers from major U.S. grocery chains.
Buyers and purchasing directors had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with local companies, discover and source products and make new and profitable connections with Italian specialty food producers.
Italian producers, on the other hand, met with and present their products to representatives from major U.S. grocery retail chains such as Garafalo Markets (ShopRite), Niemanns and Columbiana Foods (Giant Eagle), providing them with a unique and targeted opportunity for market entry in the following states: Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

On October 13th we celebrated the launch of ITALEA, the project to promote roots tourism launched by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
